Santa Fe, New Mexico 6-7 August

I think I will always remember our time in Santa Fa, not just for the great scenery and buildings or the fact that it was very hot but because we spent an afternoon while we were there "chasing rainbows". On the day we drove to Santa Fe and the next afternoon there were two spectacular thunderstorms.

After running through the rain, changing lenses in the car and driving around town during the storm to try and find the best angle, Daniel managed to capture some great shots in what can only be described as 20 minutes of madness.

One of the more unusual culinary experiences we have had was eating chili caramel and peanut butter chili truffle’s washed down with traditional Native American hot chocolate (very thick in small tea cups) at the Kakawa Chocolate House. I can’t say I’d have any of these again but our taste buds were certainly invigorated by the time we left.

When we left Santa Fe were were also stopped by the most unusual looking Police Officer. He didn't say much and did eventually let us mooooove on :-)
